Project Description
This historic home sits on a large piece of property which slopes downwards on the back side. The owners wanted this landscape to present a friendlier and more attractive face to the street, and give their family some places to hang out and interact with neighbors passing by. In the back, they wanted to increase the usable patio area, initially there was just a tiny flat section out the rear doors before the site dropped off, becoming too steep to reasonably use. We created an 800 square foot patio, with natural stone retaining walls, and a grand staircase to access the yard below also serving as a bit of an amphitheater from which to enjoy the marvelous view.
