Project Description
This project is located a few minutes from the airport in Columbus, OH, in an industrial area, and had a dilapidated rental apartment complex on it. The city and private developers teamed up as the clients. Along with DPZ Codesign, I designed a new site plan to incorporate a large park and lake running through the middle, creating 3 distinct urban areas, or villages. This made for easy phasing, and for each village to have its own identity. There will be a tower and amphitheater in the middle, visible from each of the 3 villages down a central passageway, as shown in one of the illustrations. This project is mixed use, and will contain some office and retail, in addition to mostly attainable multi family housing. Civic amenities like market structures, and an Arts facility are also present, shown in other illustrations.
